SERVE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Updated: Apr 9, 2020

Making a difference in the lives of others is vital for a successful life. My almost 14 year old grandson gets it. I have seen it multiple times with my own eyes, as I have observed Justin's selfless service to others. Whether it's shoveling snow or taking out trash can out to the road for an elderly neighbor, or jumping in to wash the dishes or clean up a mess his special needs brother makes, so his mom can have a break, he knows how to make a difference in the lives of others. That young man warms my heart over and over again! Take the time, energy and effort to make a difference. Start watching, searching, listening, believing there will be an opportunity soon appearing in your life and seize it with gusto and enthusiasm. Embrace the opportunity to make a difference in the life of another human being.

It can be hard. It can and will take time. It can get very messy. But, it is so worth it.

You may be asking where you can begin? Easy, just make sure you have the right attitude first of all. We must do things for the right reason and with the right attitude. Then leap into action, anywhere and any way you can.

Take the good within you and start giving it away. Maybe you have a special skill or talent. Or maybe you hold a special bit of knowledge. Share it with others. When you pull from within yourself–the deeper the better–you pull the best and give only the best. This is called excellence.

My 14 year old grandson simply gets its. Justin knows, he lives and applies these principles everyday in his life. Justin’s mom and dad planted these seeds in him early in his childhood by modeling it. Makes a dad and a grandpa pretty proud.

My purpose in sharing this is to encourage you to serve someone and make a difference today!
