FINDING CALM

Updated: Apr 9, 2020

Anxiety, stress and pressure is impacting so many of the lives I encounter each day. People seem to be overworked, tired, empty, and somewhat worn out. I attempt to stay ahead of the negative stresses by seeking balance and calm pro-actively. Seeking after a sense of bliss, peace and quiet really is key. Times of no noise, no radio, no tv, no internet, helps me to seek and find calm as a focus of my life.

Proactively placing yourself in a place where you cannot be interrupted is vital to finding calm. Develop the mindset that finding calm is vital for mental and physical health. This is nothing to be ashamed of at all. We are not tougher just because we are under pressures and stress all the time. Finding calm in nature, at the beach, in the forest, in an out of the way bed and breakfast hotel nibbling a donut and sipping herb tea is truly the way to your happy place. Find calm.

Have you read a good book lately? I am reading a book on kindness entitled, "Go Be Kind" by Leon Logothetis, right now. I am finding that when I am kind to others there is a sense of calm that comes over me like nothing else I have felt or experienced. As you bring calm to others, for some reason it has a tendency to create calm in yourself.

I hope you too are on an adventure to find calm.
