PLANTING SEEDS OF CHANGE

Updated: Apr 9, 2020

Over the last 35 years with our many print publications, radio shows, books, keynotes, training sessions, and my one-on-one coaching sessions, I have had the most awesome opportunities spreading seeds of positivity and success. Literally millions of positive seeds have been spread all over this country with an enthusiastic attitude. Whether it was a memory skill or tool, a communication skill or tool, a leadership skill or tool, people tell me time and again about the life change they experience as they apply the concepts I teach to their job, in their home and community. It’s not uncommon to hear, “Bob, that changed my life!” or “Bob, thank you for giving me courage to build my business!” Or my favorite, “I think this will really help my marriage and family!” These bits of feedback have motivated me more each year. My lifetime goal has always been to touch a million lives–and that those million people would touch another million, and so on. I am quite sure I have touched a few more than the million I set out to touch. How do I know this for sure? Well, I have boxes and binders full of letters, and note cards, and emails, to start with. I have received videos from happy clients telling me the things my offerings helped them accomplish. I love reading and seeing these notes especially on the hard days. You see it is not always easy planting seeds. Honestly, sometimes it can be very difficult. I am sure I will continue to my last breath though. There is always much good stuff in the tough stuff. How about you? Are you aware of the seeds that you plant in other people’s lives? Not that we have to keep track or anything. I simply believe this should be everyone’s mindset. It does not matter the path you are on in life. Simply plan out your proactive strategy. Are you going to make phone calls to encourage people or send a postcard or ahand written note? How are you going to touch people in a positive manner? Use your imagination. I have used coffee cups, back scratchers, pens, flowers, warm fuzzies, cards, letters, emails, smart cards, gifts of time, and yes, even given people money, to build them up. Let me know your successes and challenges with the above assignment.
