"Attitude is everything and I have an attitude for success!" Bob "Mr. Attitude" Prentice

I love to study and learn new things! I am always looking for a better way to do things so I can experience greater success in my life. There is power in having knowledge, but one thing I have found is that it is not enough to just know something. If it is to be of any value at all, I must actually apply, in some way, what I know or have come to believe is true. The real power comes in taking knowledge gained and doing something productive and result producing with it. For instance, years ago I started learning about the value of having a written plan. In fact, I read everything I could get my hands on concerning the subject. I also talked to lots of people about their habitsor lack of themin the area of planning. Through my research, I gained a tremendous amount of information on planning, and as I waded through it all, I chose the things that made sense to me and I adopted them as part of my own life philosophy. Now not everything I learned fit my life exactly, so some things I changed a bit; I adapted them to suit my unique situations and circumstances. But I did not stop there. I then began to apply my new-found knowledge by actually writing a plan. It has been years since I wrote that very first plan and I cannot count how many times since then that I have achieved the results I wanted simply because I once took the time to learn about planning and have continued to adopt, adapt and apply those principles to my life on a daily basis. Whether it be on the job or in our personal lives, most of us are taking in new information on a regular, literally continual basis. While determining what information we need and will take in, it is always important to remember that merely acquiring knowledge for the sake of having knowledge really doesn’t do a whole lot of good, unless you actually apply it. However, when you approach learning and new information with the attitude and determination to adopt, adapt, and apply the positive, healthy and sound principles you learn into your everyday life, your knowledge will be of great value and worth, and I predict you will succeed in ways you never thought possible.
