Seeds of SUCCESS:
Once Upon A Time

A long time ago and in a land far far away there lived a clock watcher. Not a minute would go by that he did not notice. He spent so much time watching the clock, that he never got much else accomplished.

This is no fairy tale. This is just a very sad but true story.

Yes, time is a very precious thing, but should we spend so much time paying attention to time that we miss the good stuff in life? I think not.

Of course we should take time to live in the moment– to live in the day, and we must take every opportunity to learn from yesterday and plan for tomorrow. These are most definitely a good strategies.

I also believe we can, and must, learn to control and manage the events of our lives, for we can never really manage time itself. A power greater than ourselves already manages time. We have all been given the same amount of time to deal with–twenty four hours in each day, seven days in every week, and 365 days in a year–and we are powerless to change that fact. So you can see, time actually has already been managed quite well for us. Our part is to realize that the quality of our lives are made up of the multitudes of choices we make concerning what to do with the time we have been given, and if we are to have quality lives, we must make quality choices.

So in conclusion, life it is not in the minutes or the hours, but in the wise management of the events of our lives that will fill up our time. Let me encourage you to focus on your priorities, your relationships, and the things that are most precious to you. Remember, also, that there is a season for all things.

Life is so short, so quit watching the clock, and start living!
