Seeds of SUCCESS:
Thanks, Dad!

Dad, you taught me to work hard; you also taught me to work smart. You told me that I could be whatever I wanted to be and that, you would always stand behind me, whatever I chose to do with my life. You showed me you were a man of your word, and you always took care of us kids and Mom. You were the best for taking us camping and teaching us kids how to hunt and shoot.

I have so many fond memories of growing up on the farm–learning about crops and cattle, as you taught me what life had taught you. Oh, and by the way, thanks Dad, for letting us boys have the extra lumber and sheets of tin to build our little shack in the back woods for our getaway place. Dad, you not only told us you loved us-you showed us you loved us, too.

Now, I realize that it's been almost eight years since you went to heaven, and we can't sit down and talk like we used to anymore, but I'd like to believe that you read the Prairie Beacon each month so you will get his note. Happy Father's Day!

And thanks again for teaching me how to be a Dad. I think of you often and there is not a day goes by that I don't see and feel the impact you have had on my life. You did a great job. You were an awesome dad. Take care!

Your son, Bobby

Special note to our readers: If my dad were alive today, I would gladly speak every word of this to him. This letter is the best I can do now. Please do not let too much time pass before you take the time to let your dad know how you feel about him. It'll do you both good.
