This is my vision for our community; I hope you catch my vision, adopting it as your own vision for wherever you live.
I see the School Board working in cooperation with the City Council, and these entities working in tandem with the Economic Development Board and the Community Club, and these groups working with the Churches and Law Enforcement.
The men and women who make up these leadership boards are coming together in a series of meetings discussing creatively what we can do to positively impact the families living in the community. They are not just discussing, but actually planning a strategy for the betterment of our community.
These meetings are being facilitated by an individual who can bring out the best of all viewpoints and perspectives. Then, the plan is developed establishing bench marks, cornerstones, trigger points; the work is then done by enlisting the willing cooperation of the citizens within our community and those who care for our community.
I see children playing safely in our neighborhoods with the knowledge that they are truly valuable; I see thriving business and industry, churches packed and jails empty; I see joy, peace, and security in our citizens because we know who we are and have the assurance that, together, we are moving in the right direction.
