I challenge myself to manage my time more effectively by applying a formula I call The Quick Start Concept. By thinking in terms of the firstsfirst hour of the day, first day of the week, first week of the month, and sonand focusing on planning in those areas, I am able to achieve the success I desire in my life. Other time frames vital to this concept are the first month of the year, and the first day of the month, the first day of the year, and the first week of the year. I am sure that you can think of many more firsts.
Here's an example of how it works: In the first hour of the day, plan to do something that will produce a desired result. Don't waste that precious hour. Make that hour even more productive by telling someone you love themor better yet, show your love to themwithin the very first minutes of the day. What a great way to start the day for you and your loved one! Think of ways you can make every first in your life more productive.
Thomas Edison once said, "I never allow myself to become discouraged under any circumstances . . . The three great essentials to achieve anything worthwhile are, first, hard work; second, stick-to-it-iveness; third, common sense." When you consistently apply The Quick Start Concept , planning for success in these areas, for at least one month, you will begin to see results.
