From the Desk of Bob
Our two apple trees have been abundant with fruit this season. We have been making apple fruit leather, apple cider, dried apples, applesauce, apple cake, apple cobbler and about anything else that you can think of with apples. It has been a delicious family project. We love sampling all of our different creations. We have given baskets and bags full of apples to any and all that may come into contact with us. It's truly been a fun experience with all these apples-plus you know what they say about an apple a day keeping the doctor at bay!
We are also excited to have one of our corporate sponsors back again advertising with us and that is the Coffee Lady! This super neat lady is offering her coffee to all of our wonderful readers. If you are a coffee drinker, you simply must check out her quality Sunbelt Coffee! Incredible customer service, too. See her ad at the bottom of this issue, click on her link below and go to her site. And for those of you who don't like coffee, she has hot chocolate too.
Remember that success is an attitude. Work daily at maintaining the best attitude you can. Keep your thought life positive. Build others with encouraging words daily.
Have a great week! Bob

Seeds of Success: Write Now! 'Cuz it feels so good
By Robert A. Prentice
Taking your thoughts and putting them down on paper just feels good. Processing your ideas, ponderings, convictions and opinions and then placing them in black and white in front of you is probably one of the most result producing things a person can do. Whether it is your goals, or dreams, or priorities, or even fears, I strongly encourage people to write them down. It is a therapeutic thing to do. In fact, writing is part of what I call "My Therapy."
When you get things out of your mind and down on paper you will think clearer thoughts and basically things are just not so muddled. Writing helps you to have a greater focus; it also gives you the ability to see things from different perspectives, which in turn can help you in your decision-making.
I find writing to be a great personal motivator. It gets me over any hurdles or barriers I may be experiencing in my ability to think creatively. Also, whenever I choose to share my writing with others it helps with accountability. In short, writing helps me to live a richer, fuller and happier life.
Even though I know now that there are many benefits to writing, I have not always thought this way. In my earlier years, I actually rebelled at the thought of writing and speaking in public. (Boy, am I glad I shifted that paradigm!) Back then, I never would have dreamed it would become the way that I make a living.
Now think what might happen to you if you become more active in your writing. Stop for a moment and begin to think what needs to be processed more effectively in your life or profession. Identify what you need to work on. Write down some goals, or maybe work a little bit on some planning. Clarify your mission statement. Consider journaling your life. You may want to consider jotting down your vision for some aspect of your life. You could make a list of priorities or a "to do" list.
So what are you waiting for? Start writing today. Take action now to get your thoughts, goals and dreams in print. Write now, 'cuz it feels so good!
P.S. If you want or need help in this area just let me know. I am, as always, thrilled to be of service to you.
On the Sunny Side of Life
The math teacher saw that little Johnny wasn't paying attention in class. She called on him and said, "Johnny! What are 2 and 4 and 28 and 44?"
Little Johnny quickly replied, "NBC, CBS, HBO and the Cartoon Network!"

A little girl had just finished her first week of school. "I'm just wasting my time," she said to her mother. "I can't read, I can't write and they won't let me talk!"
