Greetings and welcome to our weekly edition of MMM. I am plumb amazed at the people I bump into that tell me they enjoy reading our weekly e-motivator. Just last week I was at the State Fair in Huron and WOW! I was dazzled by the number of people I connected with that read each week and apply the principles and attitudes found within this page. Also, I sure appreciate my champions who spread the word about my motivational speaking and training services. Thank you again to all who hire me and those that share with others about the experiences they have had in my sessions. We have hundreds maybe even thousands of people who "CHAMPION" my cause of spreading great information in a positive and rich learning environment.

Seeds of Success: Leadership for Results

Much of my life's focus right now is to be the best leader that I can be. In fact, that has been my focus for a huge number of years. First and foremost, I aspire to be an effective leader in my home. Then of course I also want to be a good leader in my business and community. Achieving successful leadership in the home is probably the toughest job that I have. Everyday I must work on my priorities and responsibilities to maintain complete accountability with my family because this is what we dads and husbands should do.

Not only that, but if there is a character quality or skill I desire for my family members to have, I must be willing to lead by example. I must set the pace and the tone. I must overcome obstacles and challenges, keeping my attitude positive and up, all the while sharing my struggles and being transparent with them. These are things that people respond to-that actually help them to want to emulate what they have observed in me.

I want to see positive results in my home, business and personal life. I want to achieve more than just wish. To get results I know you've got to lead the pack, take action, get things done, and make wise decisions based upon gathering all the facts and weighing the pros and cons.

Recently, I ran across these quotes on leadership that capture what I am trying to say. Allow me to share them with you.

My encouragement to you today is to live rich, full and happy lives. Be a leader. Step out and take a risk. Move out of that comfort zone that is holding you back from the successes that you are longing for in your life.

On the Sunny Side of Life

I had the toughest time of my life. First, I got angina pectoris and then arteriosclerosis. Just as I was recovering from these, I got tuberculosis, double pneumonia and phthisis. Then they gave me hypodermics.

Appendicitis was followed by tonsillectomy. These gave way to aphasia and hypertrophic cirrhosis. I completely lost my memory for a while. I know I had diabetes and acute ingestion, besides gastritis, rheumatism, lumbago and neuritis.

I don't know how I pulled through it. It was the hardest spelling test I've ever had!
