From the Desk of Bob

Are you struggling right now? Times are tough for many people. Everyday we should remind ourselves that this too shall pass. Let me encourage you to live with an expectation of great things to come. I live daily with GREAT EXPECTATIONS! How about you? Do you desire a richer, fuller and happier life? Take action now in your life. Do not let one more day get passed you and not accomplished your hearts desire.

Let me know if you have any connections with associations or groups who need a keynote speaker for a conference. I love doing these kinds of meetings. I have done hundreds of keynotes over the years. They are always an incredible experience.

We are celebrating 25 years of operating a business here in South Dakota. I am just so stunned by the huge number of years. Where did the time go? I sure want to keep operating for another 25 years.

I am also still doing a lot of one on one consulting with persons who want to improve their business. Let me know if you want to do some creative thinking with me.

Seeds of Success: Taking Qualified Risks

Take chances, take a lot of them. Because honestly, no matter where you end up and with whom, it always ends up just the way it should be. Your mistakes make you who you are. You learn and grow with each choice you make. Everything is worth it. Say how you feel, always. Be you, and be okay with it. –Unknown

Taking qualified and well thought out risks is a smart thing. Riches may follow a smart decision. Every decision and choice that comes your way is an opportunity. See them as opportunities and then seize them as opportunities.

Do not let fear hold you back from the potential success that you may deserve from all of your hard work and diligence. The negative emotion of fear simply paralyzes so many people. Hit you fear head on. Remember that fear is false evidence appearing real. It also may mean false education fearing real.

I know that I have made many, many poor decisions and have made some unwise decisions. I have learned much because of this. I refuse to allow my past failures cripple my future success.

Take action and become.

On the Sunny Side of Life: Hot Air

A man in a hot air balloon realized he was lost. He reduced altitude and spotted a woman tending to the flowers in her garden. He descended a bit more and shouted, 'Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend that I would meet him an hour ago, but I don't know where I am.'

The woman below replied, 'You're in a hot air balloon hovering approximately 30 feet above the ground. You're between 40 and 41 degrees north latitude and between 59 and 60 degrees west longitude.'

'You must be an Accountant,' said the balloonist.
'I am,' replied the woman, 'How did you know?'

'Well,' answered the balloonist, 'everything you told me is technically correct, but I have no idea what to make of your information, and the fact is, I'm still lost. Frankly, you've not been much help at all. If anything, you have delayed my journey.'
The woman below responded, 'You must be in Management.'

'I am,' replied the balloonist, 'but how did you know?'
'Well,' said the woman, 'you don't know where you are, or where you're going. You have risen to where you are due to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise of which you have no idea how to keep, and you expect people beneath you to solve your problems. The fact is you are in exactly the same position you were in before we met, but somehow it's now become my fault!'

Note from Bob: You should know where you are, where you are going, and most certainly how you are going to get there.
