Seeds of Success: "E" Words for Life

"E" Words are words that begin with the letter "E" that a person, a family, a community should strive for in successful daily living. The following are some of my favorite "E" words:

· Encourage-Offer others a word of encouragement and it will brighten their day and sometime, when you least expect it and need it most, someone may give you a word of encouragement.

· Everyone-Few of us can ever attain any measure of greatness all by ourselves, but with teamwork everyone achieves more.

· Empower-Giving a person knowledge, skill and attitude, and at the same time lifting them up and instilling confidence and self worth in them, is what empowers them to make right choices and decisions in life.

· Enthusiasm-Live life with that special spark of enthusiasm, and always remember what Conrad Hilton of the Hilton Hotels once said: "Enthusiasm is the little recognized secret of success."

· Energy-Whenever you're feeling tired, worn out, and physically or mentally drained, try to do one extra thing." This will often result in a burst of energy and a second wind.

· Excellence-This is not an act but a habit. Being excellent once will not be sufficient; it must occur multiple times. A person should adopt excellence as a way of life, viewing everything with an Attitude of Excellence!

· Excited-How do you usually react when someone shares a personal dream or accomplishment with you? Often the tendency is to pull people down, to be a nay-sayer, or to criticize. Instead, GET EXCITED about the successes, accomplishments, dreams, goals, and aspirations of others!

Apply these "E" words in your life and reap rich results.

On the Sunny Side of Life: Old Goats

A group of Canadians was traveling by tour bus through Holland.
As they stopped at a cheese farm, a young guide led them through a process of cheese making, explaining that goat's milk was used.

She showed the group a lovely hillside where many goats were grazing. These, she explained, were the older goats put out to pasture when they no longer produced.

She then asked, "What do you do in Canada with your old goats that aren't producing?"

A spry old gentleman answered, "They send us on bus tours."
