Seeds of Success: Take Time to Make the Most of Your Time

By Robert A. Prentice

Take time to think. It is the source of power.

Take time to play. It is the secret of perpetual youth.

Take time to read. It is the fountain of wisdom.

Take time to laugh. It is the music of the soul.

Take time to work. It is the price of success.

Take time to give. It is too short a day to be selfish.

Take time to pray. It is the greatest power on Earth.

Time is so precious. In fact, time is one of the most valuable resources we have in this life. If we are to accomplish our purpose in life-to be who we are destined to be-then we do not have much time to waste. We must make wise choices as to how we can make the best use of our time. We must prioritize and take time to actually do those things that we say are so important to us if we are to be who we really want to be.

That is why every day I try to take the time to think, to play, to read, to laugh, to work, to give, and to pray. That is why I make time for the people I love.

We are all given twenty-four hours each day and that is all the time any of us needs to do what really matters. It is up to us how we will spend those seconds, minutes and hours, but we have got to choose wisely, because time, once it is spent is gone forever.

I encourage you today to take time to do whatever you can to make the most of your time. The clock is ticking.

On the Sunny Side of Life

Supposedly this is an actual 911 emergency phone calls.

Dispatcher: "9-1-1 What is the nature of your emergency?"

Caller: "I'm trying to reach nine eleven but my phone doesn't have an eleven on it."

Dispatcher: "This is nine eleven."

Caller: "I thought you just said it was nine-one-one."

Dispatcher: "Yes, ma'am, nine-one-one and nine-eleven are the same thing."

Caller: "Honey, I may be old, but I'm not stupid."
