From the Desk of Bob
Greetings!
I go on record as saying this last week was one of the toughest weeks I have had in quite awhile. This last week I was stretched. I was enlightenend. I was challenged at every turn. It did not beat me. It forced me to put into practice everything I have been teaching, and training into the lives of others.
I not only survived, I thrived. Once again proving that these principles work. We just have to work them.
Whatever you are facing in your life. Be an overcomer. Press on and persist with excellence as your guide.

Eleanor Roosevelt: "People grow through experience if they meet life honestly and courageously. This is how character is built."
Helen Keller: "Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved."
Eric Sevareid: "Tenacity is a pretty fair substitute for bravery, and the best form of tenacity I know is expressed in a Danish fur trapper's principle: The next mile is the only one a person really has to make."

Seeds of Success: Diamonds are Formed Under Great Pressure
By Robert A. Prentice
Basic vegetable matter, over time is transformed into coal. Under great pressure and heat and more time, that lump of coal is transformed into a diamond. Cut properly, buffed and polished, a diamond of brilliance and great value results. That once plain old lump of coal is now a beautiful diamond that is sought after and treasured.
We human beings are no different. The pressures and the heat, and the pain are actually good for us, making us stronger and developing in us a better character, Yes, we have to pass through the different stages in our maturing process and this can often be quite painful, but remember what the outcome will be if we are tenacious.
The question is this: How do we press on when we really feel like giving up? I believe the way we talk to ourselves is key to success while undergoing this transformation process. When we tell ourselves we are doomed to failure, well, that most often will be the result. On the other hand, if we say to ourselves and those standing close by, "I will press on! I will make it! I must succeed!" chances are really quite good that we will. Sounds simple enough, doesn't it?
Our mind, once convinced, is unstoppable. The programming of the mind is the important thing to remember. The programming is what we take in - what we read, what we hear, what we see, and what we feel - through our being. So press on. Work on your programming. Have some fun, Take some time to enjoy your blessings. Be tenacious and, above all, remember that just like diamonds, our character is "formed" under great pressure.
On the Sunny Side of Life
The little daughter of a lieutenant answered a telephone call while her parents were out. A man called, identifying himself as Colonel Hendrick.
She asked if he would please spell the name slowly.
He said, "H as in horse, E as in egg, N as in nose, D as in doggie, R as in rabbit, I as in Indian, C as in cat, K as in kite."
When her father returned, he found the following message: "Daddy, call Colonel Horseeggnosedoggierabbitindiancatkite."
