From the Desk of Bob
Greetings!
These are some of my plans for the week. I challenge you to adopt any, or all of them if you wish-then adapt to life, and apply them everyday.
* Ask more questions.
* Talk positively with every person I connect with.
* Team up with others to achieve a common goal.
* Hunger after more knowledge. Seek wisdom.
* Ask more questions. (It is in the list twice for a reason.)
* When given the opportunity, take qualified risks.
* Tap into it every ounce of my potential.
* Make excellence my highest priority and adopt quality as my creed.
To your SUCCESS! Bob

Life Attitudes
"When you get in a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hold on a minute longer, never give up then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn." -Harriet Beecher Stowe
"Be of good cheer. Do not think of today's failures, but of the success that may come tomorrow. You have set yourselves a difficult task, but you will succeed if you persevere; and you will find joy in overcoming obstacles. " -Helen Keller
"When the world says, "Give up," hope whispers, "Try it one more time." -Anonymous

Seeds of Success: The Pressure Cooker
By Robert A. Prentice
Note: Enclosed are some of my random thoughts that I have tried to pull together for an article this week. A dozen different thoughts have "whisked" through my brain, and it might appear to be a bit scrambled but in the end, I am sure it will taste good.
When in the pressure cooker of life, always remember:
+ It is in persevering through challenging and difficult times that one's character is formed. The high heat and intense pressure is what causes the impurities to rise to the surface so they can be drawn off, and what is left is the good stuff!
+ With a little creativity and innovation, positive results will come out of the negative.
+ There is no time like the present to rise to a higher level. Right now we must strive like never before, persevering and pressing on toward the goal.
+ Daily speak out this attitude: I will learn something today that will help me to grow and improve. And then do it.
+ Stay committed as you labor to achieve your heart's desire, determining to never let the nay-sayers cause you to have any doubts or second thoughts.
+ It is okay to feel some pain. And when you do, remember you will surely not die, and in fact you will get through it.
+ Once in awhile, you need to take responsibility and pick yourself up by the bootstraps, dust yourself off, and force yourself to make that one more phone call, write one more action plan, send that letter or pack that last box. No one else is going to do it for you.
+ We should never be afraid of hard work. I am so glad that my Dad taught me how to work hard and I am still working hard. I'd like to think that I work smart, too.
+ When things appear to be too difficult you, you must refuse to quit.
Hopefully these random thoughts have inspired and challenged you to jump on board with me and not let anything hold you back from the success you hunger after. Yes, life can be like a pressure cooker, but we don't have to sit and stew about it. Never allow fear or stress to paralyze you. Take action now, for it is when we take action that we become!
On the Sunny Side of Life
A do-it-yourself husband decided life would be easier if he wired a new light switch in the master bedroom to save he and his wife from fumbling in the dark for the lamp. He cut through the drywall and found a stash of bottles and small boxes inside the wall.
"Honey!" he called excitedly. "You've got to come here and see what I found!"
His wife ran in and quickly realized that his next task would be to fix the hole that now led into the back of their medicine cabinet.
