Seeds of Success: Having Fun With Creativity

Lately I have been experimenting with putting some aluminum oxide sandpaper-the same stuff we put on our deck steps to make them less slippery-on an old pair of snow boots so I can walk on ice and hopefully keep from slipping and falling. So far my idea seems to be working pretty well.
I have no problem sharing my idea because there really are, in fact, very few original ideas. So if someone takes my idea and turns it into something-more power to them. In fact, that would be really neat, since it would be an example of one of my most favorite elements within the concept of creativity-idea fluency.
Let me explain. Idea fluency is taking a basic idea and finding creative and innovative ways to enhance, shift or change a product, process, service, tool, or most anything one can dream up. Idea fluency is basically building a better mousetrap in order to solve a particular problem or challenge. I love being creative-it's what I live for!
Have you gone to the grocery store lately to purchase a toothbrush? It required me 15 minutes just to decide which toothbrush to buy with the huge variety and many options available. Those toothbrush people sure have lots of creative juices flowing.
God gave each one of us the incredible capability of creativity and we simply need to tap into it for our common good. Yes, it is true that my creativity has gotten me into a bit of trouble a time or two in the past 45 plus years, but many more of my "ideas gone wild" have resulted in positive outcomes and positive cash flow.
I don't know if my idea for enhancing my snow boots will ever make me rich, but I do know that it may keep me from slipping on the ice (and I sure don't want to ever do that again!) and I feel much safer. Besides that, I have really enjoyed the creative thinking process.
Tap your creative genius. Do not hold anything back. Have fun, and let you mind run free in the spirit of creativity.
