From the Desk of Bob

Over the last few days I have been absolutely blown away! When I got the idea to send out a short survey to all my MMM subscribers, I had no idea the responses would be so helpful and encouraging. Over 100 subscribers responded back. Thank you so much for your honest, sincere, heart felt comments, and suggestions.

I have not responded to any replies as of yet. I intend to answer each email personally in the days ahead. In the next couple of weeks, once I have processed all the information I have received, I will be sharing some of the survey results with you.

Also, if you have not responded yet, it's not too late. I'd love to hear from the rest of you.

Enthusiastically! Bob

Seeds of Success: A Million Questions

By Robert A. Prentice

While I am visiting with business people, decisions makers, managers, directors, and industry leaders it is standard operating procedure for me to ask some really tough questions. I have asked successful business people and those on the brink of failure and bankruptcy a variety of questions over the years. In fact, I am quite sure that I have asked millions of questions and solicited millions of answers.

These nuggets of wealth–the basic human relations and business principles I have learned–fill my journals and notebooks and spill over into my writing and speaking. Literally hundreds of concepts, principles and ideas have been shared with me over the years, and I have taken those that made sense to me and applied them in one way or another in my life and business.

For example, when someone who was teetering on the bring of failure told me that they wished they would have paid more attention to their bookkeeping, I made sure that my bookkeeping was being done in a thorough and professional manner able to withstand any audit. When someone told me their increase in sales was due to making phone calls to cold prospects, I decided to give cold-calling a try myself.

As an entrepreneur who relies primarily on my skills, knowledge and attitudes to bring in an income, I have learned how vital it is to look back ever so often to see what has enabled my business to grow and prosper. I believe we must always go back to the basics; go back to our foundation, go back to our roots. So I am still asking questions. I am still listening. I am still journaling the things I am learning.

How about you? You can do the same thing. It really works. Never be afraid to ask questions. Be a life long learner. It is when we quit asking questions that we begin to shrivel up and blow away.

Reasons I Have To Thank My Competitors

My competitors do more for me than my friends.

My friends are too polite to point out my weaknesses, but my competitors go to great expense to tell of them.

My competitors are efficient and diligent. They make me search for ways to improve my products and my services.

My competitors would take my business away from me if they could. This keeps me alert to hold what I have.

If I had no competitors, I would be incompetent, complacent and lazy; I need the discipline the enforce upon me.

So you see why I thank my competitors. They've been good to me. God bless them all!
